Upcoming Workshops this Autumn
Granny Square deck workshops Sconch, Essex, Saturday September 12th, 2026, 10am-1pm or 2-5pm
After the sell out success of my workshops at Sconch last year, lovely Sam has asked me back to Essex to teach some fabulous workshops showing you how to read crochet charts and use my crochet card decks. One is in the morning and one in the afternoon and you get a discount if you book onto the whole day! An added extra this year is that now I have a new deck to discuss too, so if you wanted to use a motif from that deck, you absolutely can! In addition, I will have a preview copy of my new book, The Complete Guide to Granny Squares, with me to look at, alongside all the samples from the book.
The classes are suitable for confident beginners who want to increase their granny square knowledge but will also be fun for crocheters of all levels who want to build on their knowledge and/or confidence. Participants must at least know the basic stitches, UK double crochet, half treble and treble crochet to join the class.

Crochet Granny Square Workshop Loop, London. Saturday October 10th, 11am-3.30pm
This workshop is perfectly timed to coincide with the publication of my new book, Complete Guide to Granny Squares and the class is great for new crocheters, those needing a refresher, or those who know the basic stitches, but want to add to their knowledge or gain confidence in using these stitches to make a finished project.
We will be exploring granny squares, charts, and colourful projects, choosing a motif from my book or card decks to try, while learning to read charted patterns and work in the round. We will explore techniques including cluster stitches (shells, puffs, bobbles) depending on your skill level, then look at samples from my new book to demonstrate how motifs can be used in finished projects, learning how to join the motifs together with a professional finish.
